Utilizing the BDO International resources, we can assist companies in developing a trust-worthy, well thought out and “practical” implementation plan, creating accounting conversion schedules as well as providing wide range of education and training courses.

In Japan, IFRS will be introduced to Japanese companies in either 2015 or 2016 and there will be a foreseeable challenge in the mid term to adopt IFRS. We have the experience and expertise to assist and train companies in the roll out of IFRS and assist on projects. We have an IFRS desk/research team devoted on IFRS for companies and clients to reach out in meeting specific IFRS needs.

  • Our BDO counterparts in certain European countries have the experience to assist companies since IFRS has been adopted in these European countries starting from 2005. We have worked with the other BDO member firms in applying our experiences in Japan and can assist your company in implementing the IFRS standards and with a peace of mind be ready.
  • We will conduct a pre-IFRS assessment on the Company’s financial statements and financial reporting process. As part of the process we will support the Company in configuring the accounting software package to conform to IFRS and provide advice on improving the financial reporting process under IFRS.
  • Based on IFRS, companies will need to create an accounting policy and financial disclosure policy to ensure that a company’s accounting is consistently applied and in accordance with the required accounting standards. We help guide the company in identifying and addressing the challenging IFRS accounting issues as well as assist in documenting the policies.
  • Companies will need to introduce IFRS to their employees and we can support companies in developing training programs and provide the training to the employees.
